The Give More Than You Take Foundation (GMTYT) is a contemporary endeavor conceptualized by a group of like-minded yet socially awkward individuals as a societal response to the artistic vision of Jim Hodges. It brings together, under one slightly coherent aegis, artists and activists whose combined mandate is to help rouse the
artistic curiosity of the communities in which they live
in order to assist in improving its
QUALITY OF LIFE.
Notionally, GMTYT seeks the ideals of social action, the creation of collaborative partnerships, as well as the establishment of an open forum to help address and alleviate the immediate needs of our community. The GMTYT Foundation strives to empower individuals, regardless of creed, color, race, nationality, or sexual persuasion, to become active participants in civil society. Its members aspire to craft a culture of philanthropy and voluntary sharing of time and artistic talent.
GMTYT has an overall aim to seek to engender, or contribute to other efforts that seek to engender, a fraternal ethos of artistic enlightenment, peace, mutual aid and understanding.
